Been working a lot on an order from a municipality, they shall let schools borrow these during their education in schools.
It is all replicas from finding in the area around and in Munkedals kommun.
Now step 1 with all flintknapping is finished, step 2 is to grind 3 axes (one is done) and 2 chisels, step 3 is to haft some of it in wood.

Asktuff in Swedish and translate to english it's a

Asktuff in Swedish and translate to english it's ashtuff, it was created by a meteor impact 365 million years ago that created the lake Siljan in Dalarna, Sweden and can only natural be found in a ring around this lake. It was used a lot during stoneage up there and reminds of flint, greenish is most common but can been found in other colors also, it is very sharp and brittle when its translucent and to heat it does not need at all.

Got a nice piece of In Swedish "Hälleflinta" from Swedish archaeologist Kjell Knutsson, it is not flint but behaves in structure as it and can looks like it. The best type of it is Red and is a Metamorphic rock that were used in stonage in middle to north Sweden, where they did not have much flint. It reminds of raw Novaculite and is absolutly fantastic to work in.
